1. Relaxation measures

The Transport Support Scheme has launched the relaxation measures on 2 July 2008!!!
 
IF
  • you are residing in Yuen Long, Tuen Mun, North or Islands districts;
  • your personal asset value is no more than $44,000;
  • your monthly income is no more than $6,500(not applicable to the unemployed)
  • (i) you are an employee who is working 72 hours or more a month OR
    (ii) you are a job-seeker (an unemployed or an employee intending to change jobs) who intends to work for 72 hours or more a month; and
  • you have to pay for home-to-work and job interviews commuting.
You can apply to join the Scheme and claim for allowance:
  • On-the-Job Transport Allowance: $600 per month, up to 12 months
  • Job Search Allowance: up to $600 (on a reimbursement basis)
 
You are welcome to make telephone booking in advance with any service centre in the vicinity of your place of residence to make advance booking for application.


2. Mobile service centres

To facilitate residents of the outlying islands to participate in the Scheme, the Hong Kong Outlying Islands Women's Association Limited has set up two mobile service centres at the following locations:
